Senior Enterprise Account Executive – Public Sector, Defence, Aerospace & Strategic Accounts

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Account Executive to drive Cubbit's growth across Italy's Central Public Administration (PAC) and a select portfolio of highly strategic enterprise accounts operating in regulated industries (i.e. Defence, Aerospace).

This is a quota-carrying role for an experienced enterprise seller who thrives in complex sales environments, knows how to navigate multi-stakeholder organizations, and is comfortable engaging C-level executives, procurement teams, and technical decision makers.

You will own the entire sales cycle, partnering with Solution Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success and Executive Leadership to position Cubbit as the sovereign cloud storage platform of choice for organizations where security, resilience and data sovereignty are mission critical.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from territory planning and prospecting to negotiation and closing.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across Italy's Central Public Administration and a portfolio of nationally strategic enterprise customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, IT leadership, cybersecurity teams and procurement stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop opportunities around sovereign cloud, cyber resilience, data protection, AI infrastructure and critical storage workloads.
  • Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, long buying cycles and public procurement frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers to deliver compelling technical and business value propositions.
  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure successful deal execution and customer onboarding.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast while consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Represent Cubbit at industry events, executive meetings and strategic customer engagements.

What You'll Need

  • A strong, established network across Italy's Central Public Administration (PAC) and the Defence ecosystem, with the ability to engage executive decision makers and open strategic opportunities.
  • Proven success managing complex enterprise sales cycles within Public Sector and/or highly regulated industries.
  • 8+ years of successful B2B Enterprise Sales experience.
  • Proven experience selling cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, storage or enterprise software solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing six and seven-figure enterprise opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement processes and enterprise buying dynamics.
  • Ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders, from procurement teams to C-level executives.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Italian (Native or equivalent) + English Professional working proficiency 

Bonus Points

  • Experience selling Sovereign Cloud, Storage, Backup or Cybersecurity solutions.
  • Existing relationships within the Italian public sector ecosystem.
  • Experience working with System Integrators and strategic channel partners.
  • Knowledge of data sovereignty, compliance and cyber resilience frameworks.
  • Experience selling to highly regulated industries such as Aerospace & Defence, Energy or Critical Infrastructure.

Profile & Mindset

We're looking for a hands-on individual contributor with an entrepreneurial mindset and an established network across Italy's Central Public Administration (PAC) and strategic Defence organizations. You'll be comfortable engaging senior decision makers, navigating complex organizations and driving high-impact enterprise opportunities. Working closely with Cubbit's top management team, you'll play a key role in accelerating our growth across some of Italy's most strategic institutions.

Location

Rome-based preferred | Full Remote (Italy)

Work from anywhere in Italy, with a strong preference for candidates based in Rome, where most of our Public Sector stakeholders and strategic customers are located, enabling frequent in-person meetings and stronger executive relationships.

You'll also have access to our network of partner co-working spaces, while our headquarters in Bologna are always available for collaboration, team meetings and company events. Frequent travel across Italy is expected as part of the role.
